My podcast - what’s next?
Last week I released the final episode of series 2 of my podcast Creative Conversations, in which I ask my guests “what does the word creativity mean to you?” That means there are now 12 episodes out there for people to listen to.
It started as an experiment in video, with 3 episodes. Then I decided to release the audios separately, and eventually to focus on releasing audios of the conversations rather than videos.
But what’s next? Will I do another series?
I’d love to do another series. The conversations have been fascinating, so many insights into different types of creativity and different people’s way of working.
But… they take a long time. There’s the scheduling, a bit of research for the conversation itself, editing, preparing all the copy and content for the release, including social media stuff, short taster videos, transcripts, show notes etc etc. Each episode takes 5+ hours.
(You can listen here if you haven’t already!)
I’m Nina Lenton - a coach for creatives. And I also offer business and marketing support to businesses that promote creativity or that work in the area of personal development eg coaching, training.
You can find out more about my services on my website: www.ninalenton.co.uk
I have also self-published a number of short books, and you can find these on Amazon UK. I’m in the process of updating these and my author page - and have a couple more to add very soon. But you could start by visiting here.
I’d like to outsource some of the work involved - the editing, the social media content development and the scheduling. However, that requires money! So I either have to earn plenty of money so that I have some spare to spend on that podcast help. Or I have to get sponsorship for the podcast. I’m not sure that either of those is a quick or easy route right now.
Current plans for the podcast
So what I will do now is to try to get more listeners for it - expanding the places it’s available, getting onto directories, adding useful content to my website about each episode, telling more people about it, finding podcasts I can guest on.
And to use some of the themes that were discussed to create some social media and blog content. Now I’ve had 12 of these conversations, there are some topics that I could pull out to write about in more detail.
If you’ve listened to the episodes, which was your favourite?
What insights have you had from listening? Has an episode inspired you to do something differently? It would be lovely to know so that I can share it with the guests involved.
You can catch up on all 12 episodes here.
